Meeting
together as a large group can be intimidating for some. So our church offers
smaller groups to help people bond closer together (or have fellowship
together). These fellowships are usually divided by age. The
fellowship of "love", named after the Greek word for love, is a group
for junior and senior high school students. Together, they learn Christian values and try to apply
them in their families and schools. They meet every Saturday at 7:00pm at the
church. This group is for university/college students. They meet 2nd and 4th Friday 7:00pm at various members locations (call the church to find location) to discuss how to apply Christian principles in their student life and places of study.
The young family group is for couples and new parents. We meet on the third
Sunday of every month and newcomers are welcome to join. We meet for a time
to learn, share and support one another and eat good food afterwards!
This group helps
married couples to build their marriage relationships. Issues such as
communication, roles in the family and understanding God's purpose in marriage
are discussed, shared and prayed for to build God-centered marriages. The
couples meet together for a time of support and fellowship within each other's
home about once a month. This
group usually meets at the church on the last Sunday of the month from
4:15-7:30pm. They provide support and care to families, that is, parent(s) with
children. Issues regarding “Christ-centered”
parenting, child raising and
developing strong families and marriages are the general foci of this group. The
kids have their own program and then rejoin the parents while everyone has
dinner together. Copyright © 2005 Toronto Chinese Alliance Church
