Missions
TCAC supports a number of career missionaries indirectly through the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. Some of the countries that these missionaries serve in are Guatemala, Malaysia, France, Venezuela, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong and French Guiana.
In 2000, we were both excited and challenged by sending out our very own missionaries. Doris and Gordon Lui-Yee went to Hong Kong for language and theology study in preparation to serve God in China. We were excited because they are our own missionaries. We were challenged because we found out that we still have a lot to learn. From Doris and Gordon's frequent newsletters we shared their exciting experiences and frustrations but ultimate triumph through their faith in God. We also learned the many aspects of how to support a missionary. Doris and Gordon are currently serving in TCAC and plan to return back to Hong Kong and China in 2002 to serve as career missionaries.
Members of our church also participate in short-term missions at home and in far away places. They have served in churches ministering to the African Muslim. They have been to places in North America, South America and China. We were encouraged by their reports that these missions not only changed the lives of those who came to hear the Gospel, but also the very own lives of those who went for these missions.
It is with faith that both the missionaries in places far away and that of the congregation at home, that the Gospel can be spread to the ends of this word until our Lord comes again.
